At University of Advancing Technology (UAT), we are committed to academic excellence and dedicated to shaping the next generation of innovative game designers and programmers. Our pioneering Game Studies degrees seamlessly integrate artistic and programming disciplines, distinguishing us from other institutions. By merging traditional academic values with a modern, tech-driven environment, we foster a culture of learning that promotes personalized growth for students, faculty, and staff alike.
UAT has one of the few fully accredited game design degrees that offers a comprehensive selection of game studies degrees, including Bachelor’s degrees in Game Design, Game Art & Animation, and Game Programming, as well as a Master’s degree in Game Production & Management. Central to our approach is the Synchronic Learning model, designed for advancing technology students. This framework supports both undergraduate and graduate learners, preparing them to become tomorrow’s innovators while ensuring job readiness.
A key feature is Production Studios, which simulates real-world production pipelines, allowing students to collaborate in teams on projects ranging from concepts to fully functioning businesses. Each semester, students pitch projects or join external client teams through the Greenlight event, honing leadership, communication, and project management skills alongside industry professionals, alumni, and graduate students. Serving as a technology incubator, Production Studios fosters collaboration, professional skills, career readiness, and portfolio-building, preparing students for careers in the tech industry.
UAT is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
